 Today we did make up work in class. I started on redoing the one pager. 

 Today we read a dream deferred. We also did a worksheet on the goals we have in life. I talked about my dream of going to college and becoming a pilot and doing the mrotc and becoming a officer to help pay for college.

 Today we read let America Be America Again. It is talking about how American has never truly been America for non white or poor white people and it is time for America to be truly America for them, this was written when by Langston Hughes in the early 1900s. I feel like right now America is truly America because everyone has a chance to become something here in America and it is not nearly as fascinating as it use to be.

 I was not able to do anything because my computer was locked out. I could not get it scanned because the people in the hall way would not let me go get it scanned because of the lockdown. So I really was not able to do any work in class. 

 Today we did a bell ringer in class. I was not there for most of class but I was there for the end and was able to do part. One thing we did was things like how there are different customs in different countries and cultures and also stuff about stereotypes and such.

 Today we continued presenting our mini projects. I thought that the presentations had a lot of similar points in them. One example would be how everyone who chose to the trash can project said they would find paper and writing utensils in the trash can.

 Today we did a reading on 10 pages from the sorrows of war and answered a question. I did what was an interesting way the other explained something. I thought it was interesting that the other showed how Kien only missed Phoung three time in ten years and one of the times he was feverishly half imagining her when he malaria.

 Today some of us presented our projects that we did over the weekend. A lot of us chose to do the music and j feel like some of the ones represented the book well like welcome to the jungle because Vietnam is in the jungle. Another good example was saying ten things you think you would find in a trash can and someone said empty beer and liquor bottles because kien is a heavier drinker.

 Today we took a quiz on what we had been reading. A lot of the questions were about kien’s love life especially with the mute girl. I feel like Kien did not do the right things so far with the mute girl he didn’t treat her bad but he could have cared more and remembered her name.

 Today we continued working on the quote analysis project. For one of my quotes I used how Kien’s past is like piece of paper. This represents how his past is not as easy for him to rember.

 Today we started a quote analyzation project. We are analyzing quotes from the novel. One of the quotes I chose was that kien’s past is like a Flemish piece of paper because you can’t always see it clearly
