 Today we had some people read the questions they made from the project we did on Wednesday. Some of them were about the depression Kien had as well as why he was writing. I feel that Kien was writing for his own mental health and also to tell his story.

 Absent

 Today we continued with our reading and worked on the drawing we are making from the reading. I am doing mine about kien crying on the floor by his bed as there are souls of dead soldiers wandering and moaning in pain. I chose draw this because I feel like it represents a big part of the book.

 Today we read and took notes from 63-85. We also started making a picture for an assignment. My picture is about Kien crying on the floor and there is ghosts/souls wandering and moaning and crying that have been shot to represent a certain part of the reading.

 Today we learned some stuff MLK and watched an interview. He talked about stuff like what the most important stuff is, like staying non violent and not just doing superficial change. I feel like to help stop the racism and stuff we need to show all races what it is like to live and like what it use to be like to live as a minority and that could help make racism become non existent.

 Today we did a kaboom on the reading we did and a work sheet on pages 33-44. One part of the reading kien was going to kill some disserters that came back. He ended up not because he was not supposed to but I am surprised he would have even thought about doing because of all the killing he has done and how he is tired of doing it.

 Today we continued reading the sorrows of war. We also did a reflection of the reading as well as a character worksheet in kien. I feel like kien has a lot of issues such as trauma from the war as well as he no longer cares about living.

 Today we started reading our book in class. It starts off in 1975 and the main character kien is looking for Mia in Vietnam, he was apart of the battle that took place where he was and his battalion was nearly completely wiped out by the Americans. I feel like we need to hear the other side of the story sod Vietnam and what their experiences were like.

 Today we learned some background information about Vietnam. We learned about how the war started and why we were there and what happened durning it. For specifically I am interested because I have a buddy from south vietnam whose family was fraught with the Americans and I am interested in learning about the other side of the story.
